For Region Örebro, it was essential to choose an in-vehicle solution that would not become a standalone system but instead integrate seamlessly with the rest of their IT environment. The solution needed to be a natural part of day-to-day operations, providing support without adding complexity or uncertainty to the work.

Navigation was a particularly important factor in the decision. In the field, connectivity can vary, and the system therefore had to function even when the network does not. Access to stable navigation and offline maps was critical to ensure crews could always reach their destination, regardless of circumstances. Further strengthening patient safety as a result.

Once the system was in place, its value quickly became clear in daily operations.Reliable and consistent navigation provides crews with a sense of security during response, even in areas with limited connectivity. The ability to switch between different map views, such as orthophotos or satellite imagery, give susers a better understanding of their surroundings already on the way to the incident and can play a crucial role in reaching patients quickly.
The system has also become the natural working tool Anders and Peter had hoped for when they started the process. Information about assignments, positions and routing is gathered in one place and presented in a way that works while on the move and under time pressure. This reduces the need to switch between systems or perform manual tasks, allowing crews to work more cohesively throughout the entire response.
